In doing this work over the last few years, we have developed a talented team of filmmakers, technology wizards, business activists and organizers who create media and distribute it to the public via all means possible, including internet, radio, television, traditional news media, theaters, house parties, film festivals, fundraisers and other traditional and alternative distribution methods that create alliances with multiple organizations and educate those whose activity impacts legislation and social and economic conditions.

We know that issues do not go away with the screening of a film, so we are building an infrastructure to keep the work around the issues alive and growing. As a result, we have a database of nearly 170,000 people all over the country. Through education, organizing and outreach using this infrastructure, we will assist groups and individuals whose actions will ultimately lead to change at every level, including important public policy. We will help create, increase and strengthen mutually beneficial alliances with and between partner organizations to reinforce their messages and increase their efficacy.

Many brilliant documentaries over the years could have made bigger impacts if they had been accompanied by education and outreach efforts. Toward this end, through our Democratized Media Education Initiative, we will continue to organize using traditional and innovative means.

In addition to our work with grassroots organizations, we will expand our program to train Internet activists to use new technology that will reach wider audiences using innovative means such as vlogging, movie title contests, fictitious Internet characters, and others.

We see our job as informing as many people and organizations as we can in order to strengthen and serve democracy. Our goal is precisely to create the narrative thread that ties these groups together, to be bold and inspiring, and to help everyone work together toward solutions.
