Rethink Afghanistan
Rethink Afghanistan is a ground-breaking, feature-length documentary about the war in Afghanistan, released in segments online for free. According to Arianna Huffington, “It should be required viewing for everyone in the White House, the Congress and the Pentagon.” The film fosters discussion, debate, and dissent, and is often described as the work that “laid the tracks” for public opposition to the war. The documentary is part of Brave New Foundation’s contribution to the movement to change the misguided policy in Afghanistan.
This project’s successes include:
- Thousands of local screenings around the country;
- Elevating major Afghanistan-related news stories into the mainstream media; and
- Continued online media campaigns that now reach more Facebook users than Defense Department content.
